i cant understand why so many ppl complain about this game addition. as the devs said this is a mini "profession" it isnt meant for everybody like i just fit my scanner and go find some other npc to hunt down if u dont like sitting in a system an scann for days sometimes then dont do it. its the same as when u say hey i dont like the manufacturing thing, why cant i get all my stuff from the loot, when some1 says its not "fun" to wait infront of its screen to get a scan result.
i know its hard to get anything from these new Deadspaces or agents, but if u try long enough the reward is sometimes enough for sitting days in a system for scanning. (in my opinion)
i would hate it when ccp change such a great idea with mini professions just to make the majority happy(why its called profession when everyone can do it or has fun with it)
to devs: u "chill" much in the offices, dont u?

Originally by: Joshua Foiritain In the civilized world we have something called "criticism", basically its when you donĘt like something you tell the creator what you donĘt like and how you would do it differently. Then the creator can review his creation and decide whether or not you brought up a good point, if you did he adjust his creation (Usually referred to "improving" something).
When I read these post, I'm forced to believe nobody can like it and if you do, you must be stupid or, as someone said, a masochist.

Unlike production, mining or anything else people don't like this "profession" is an (unwanted) road block on the way to more interesting parts of eve, hence "not doing it" is not an option. If there was a way to get the required goods for booster production without exploration then I wouldnĘt be exploring.
Maybe buy it like anyone else (sure I know its not an option for ya ) btw dont take me too serious

What i am missing with all that exploring stuff is a little bit of adventure style stuff, meaning you will have to solve a riddle or something. Other thinks i could think of: - maybe u have to put some stuff in a container to trigger a spawn or open a gate or get something new from this container
- kill all but 1 spezial npc and he will beg for his live and tell u a secret
- add the ship logs to exploration
- add more skills that interact with exploring instead of just hacking and arch to enter a gate for example (i found some "unstable wormholes" but you couldnt activate it, allways told me im to far away - no lag tryed in different situations and plexes - , would be funny if u find out your plasma skill shows you how to jump through or something)
- like some1 mentioned(and eris liked it too) repairing or or energy transfer to a damaged strukture work as triggers
- move a container with tractor beam out of position and *pow a fleet spawnes out of nowhere
- to hacking: wouldnt it be fun to try to get a PW to open a container - lets say u can find parts of them or riddles that hint towards them[ok i read to much Dan Brown]
- sensor boost a "stranded" agent to reboot his nav comp
....
did i mentioned i like riddles??

we found a drone plex that lost us 6 bs and not counted support in the first 1-3 runs. after managing to find the "triggers" we are able to do them with 4 or 5 BS in an affortable time
i think its really intresting to have such "try and error" effects and to search for hidden keys or such
the rewards could be tweaked in some cases anyway
